Cave biking
- An underground adventure
At cave biking you can take a special 8 to 10 kilometre cycle tour through the Sibbergroeve, Europe's largest underground network of passages. This has been an unforgettable experience in Valkenburg for years, and now it's your turn to discover this unique marl system.
Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will cycle deeper and deeper into the soft yellow marl system during this active discovery tour. On your special cave bike (a chainless mountain bike specially designed for underground adventures) you can explore the labyrinth of tunnels.
No need to worry about speed: the pace will be adjusted to suit the slowest cyclist in the group, so that everyone can enjoy this adventure.
Keep your wits about you and duck occasionally, otherwise a collision is guaranteed – luckily your helmet will protect you!

Please note:
You need to be reasonably fit to reach the caves. Access is via a long spiral staircase. Bear in mind that the temperature in the caves is constantly low.
We are also happy to provide transport to the caves and back if required.
