Organising two unique activities in South Limburg for 100 guests and splashing entertainment for the party night in cooperation with SoIncentive.
Event
The guests stayed in a beautiful hotel near the city of Maastricht. On the first evening, they enjoyed a delicious dinner at Brandson's in the city. The next morning, we organised a unique car rally with 2CVs for them through beautiful South Limburg. We concluded the trip with lunch at Château Neercanne castle. In the afternoon, it was time for a unique activity, typical of this region: cave biking. What could be more fun than mountain biking through the marl caves of Valkenburg? The day ended with a splashing party at the Caverne. They enjoyed a delicious dinner, a magician, a photobooth and a DJ with saxophonist!
Wish
After 9 years of celebrating every company outing abroad, the 10th anniversary needed to be something very special. The wish was to bring back all the typical company traditions during the anniversary weekend; the annual football tournament, the Friday afternoon drinks, the St Nicholas party, a look back at all previous company outings, a nod to the company's origins in Munich.
Result
The result was a wonderful weekend full of surprises, winks and retrospectives. The kick-off, of course, was the Friday afternoon drinks where, unexpectedly, the staff of Amsterdam's regular pub tapped the beers. Every part of the 10-camp on Saturday morning was a throwback to previous events. With 23 degrees, Sinterklaas made his appearance on Saturday afternoon with presents and a nice speech. In the evening, a tasty 90s party with 2 Unlimited, Carola Kraaij sang a beautiful smartlap for the custom company and, to close, a spectacular fireworks display.
On 22 October 2026, SAPPI Maastricht celebrated its 175th anniversary. To mark this special milestone, we were entrusted with the full organisation of the anniversary event at the company’s own premises.
The programme brought together staff, business partners and guests for an inspiring day featuring a range of distinguished speakers, who reflected on the company’s rich history and looked ahead to the future. A live link with colleagues in Africa gave the event an international flavour and underlined SAPPI’s global connections.
A highlight of the anniversary celebrations was the official opening of the new electric boiler, an investment that reinforces the organisation’s sustainability ambitions. Naturally, the day was rounded off with top-quality catering and plenty of opportunity to celebrate this impressive milestone together.
